I'm 25 and I shaved my hair off on New year's and its been 3 months now of growth but I had to trim off a bit cus it was damaged from too much Apple cider vinegar. I'm sensitive to shampoos and conditioners and products in general. I was wondering should I just not wash my hair and scalp or keep water only washing? Meaning I only wash with water. When she started child care..she began to bald and a lot of hair came out. I washed her hair with selsun blue by my Doctor's instruction to get rid of her cradle cap which it totally removed it. But afterwards her hair became very dry, and brittle and has never been the same. In any event, I started using Aveeno moisturizing shampoo and wash her hair every other week, she scratches her scalp so I always think her hair is dirty or needs cleaning. I usually use water and coconut oil, daily, every morning and night and she now sleeps on a satin pillow case, and she has little hairs sprouting out where it was bald. Although I use the water and coconut oil daily ... within minutes her hair is dry again. I plan to try to take your advise and reduce the washing. I do plan to get the Cara B products to use on an as needed bases. I was just wondering do you think running a damp washcloth over her head to get it a little wet then apply something like a shea butter on it would do her well, because she desperately needs moisture and I think it is time for me to change because what I'm doing now just isn't working.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3146268269035274486.post-60587936199374722602015-03-26T08:59:58.737-04:002015-03-26T08:59:58.737-04:00Mega care is good but the best thing that I have f...Mega care is good but the best thing that I have found for my daughters dry hair has been Kera Care overnight cream. My daughter is almost 7 months and over the last month and a half as her hair texture changes I have seen significant hair loss. Pretty much from her temples to her ears & all the way around to the back of her head has thinned. Its not completely bald, there still a very thin layer that I can brush down. I have received all sorts of advice; wash twice a week, moisturize twice a day, never let it get dry, baby don't be bald, its normal & happens to every baby, etc etc. I have been washing once a week & conditioning once a month (which I'm now going to stop!) I started putting her hair in ponytails & braiding it because of the muffin top. I don't know if I'm putting too much stress on her hair? I do use Carol's Daughter hair milk, but I use it everyday.. am I using it too often? Any advice and/or guidance would be greatly appreciated! I am not sure if it is because she wears her hair banded for a few days before removing them or because I am not detangling her hair enough as I put the bands in each section. I am going to try banding overnight and removing them the next day to see if her hair is less tangled. I have had better results with African Threading for achieving a good no-heat stretch of her hair. I have been on many sites and yours provides me with the information I need to know. I especially like the product sections, those are products that I can find locally. I was wondering about the texture of your brown girls hair, meaning in the pictures it looks straight, especially when her hair is pulled back into different styles. At this point are you blow drying her hair? I read in your previous tab that you did not start that until she was 5 I think but are you still doing that now?
