When I was growing up many years ago, my Mom didn't talk to me about feminine stuff. Later in life, she told me it was because she was taught that it was something that you just didn't talk about. Most women my age in the black community that I know, Moms had the same mindset. That mindset caused me to have to figure things out on my own. Which wasn't easy at all.

I told myself, if I ever had a daughter, I would talk to her about everything. I would make it common for her and I to have conversations about her period, hygiene, and sex (at the appropriate time of course).

It has made things so easy for my daughter because she has developed very early. She got her cycle at the tender age of 9, one month and a few days before her 10th birthday and she was prepared because we talked about it. I'll share that in another post.

Anyway, although Norforms have been around for a long time, I found out about them about a year ago. I've always had great personal hygiene and when I saw these, I thought wow, I wonder if they work!

They are suppositories that help combat odor internally safely. They come with an applicator that you use to insert them. They are very small but powerful LOL!

You should wear a pantie liner because it dissolves and runs back out. It makes you smell great down there! They have 2 fragrances; Island Escape (my favorite) and Tropical Splash. 12 come in a box. They are Dermatologist and Gynecologist tested. p-H balanced. Hypoallergenic and safe and gentle for everyday use!

I'll probably let my daughter start using these when she turns 13 or so. For now, I'm enjoying not having to share them!!

Degree Girl *Just Dance* Deodorant

Hi Girly's,

My daughter, (A'Che') & I were out shopping one day and this bottle of deodorant caught both of our eyes. She has been using deodorant since she was 5 years old and the only brand that I have found to keep both of us dry and odor free has been Degree.

We were so excited to find that Degree has a cool one out that appeals to big girls (tweens)called Just Dance. A'Che' is like most little girls she loves ALL THINGS BLINGY!! What's cool about this one is that it has a little glitter that shows up under her arm. It's not a lot and you can almost barely see it, but it's there! I'm hoping that they add a little more glitter in the future because it's kinda cool!

The most important thing is that it smells great and it keeps her dry and odor free all day long! I thought this was a cool product to share with all of our big and little girls that have to wear deodorant!!

It's awesome that your deodorant can be blinged out too!! LOL

My VoxBox from Influenster/Product Review

Hi Girlies,

I just want to share with you a cool site that I found to be very cool. It is called Influenster. They select people to review complimentary products. It's a pretty cool way to read and write reviews on products, stores, etc. that you have tried or are interested in trying. If you are a huge social media user and you like to review/test new products, you should check it out!

UPDATE September 24, 2014: PRODUCT REVIEW

I've been using the new Degree MotionSENSE deodorant for a little over a week and I am very pleased with it.

The fragrance that I have is Fresh Energy. It smells very good. It's a clean fresh smell. It rolls on smoothly. After it sets, it is mostly clear. I do have a few white lines in the crease areas where I put more product. But if I rub it in, it goes away and you can't see the deodorant.

It keeps my underarms dry and fresh the entire time I wear it. I've been outside at my son's high school football games, I've been outside at my daughter's little league (cheerleader) football games in the scorching heat and It has keep my underarms smelling fresh in spite of my heavy sweating.

I have put this deodorant to the test and I am pleased with it. It will be my deodorant of choice from now on!
