Brown Girls Adventures with Mickey & Shamu!!

We took a family vacation last week and I thought I would share a few pictures of Brown Girls Adventure with Micky and Shamu!

Our first stop was a Jekyll Island! Brown Girl had a great time swimming with her cousins. Unfortunately, she got sun burn while swimming, but it didn't stop her from having fun! Thank God it wasn't painful for her. We certainly won't go without the sunscreen again!!

The next stop was Orlando, Florida to visit Sea World and Magic Kingdom. She has already been to Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom.

If you've never been, it is an awesome but VERY expensive trip! BE prepared to take out a second mortgage especially if you have more than 2 children....geesh!!

*Side note* I suggest you take your kids between the ages of 5-10. Ages 8-10 are perfect because...

1. They are independent (can eat and go to the bathroom alone, no diapers and bottles)
2. They will remember it (won't be sleep in a stroller) and
3. They will appreciate it more (won't be crying for a bottle or because they are hot and irritated!)
4. Last but not least, They can wait in those LLLOOOONNNGG lines. The waits can be more than 1.5 hours for some of the attractions.

For the life of me I don't understand why people take infants to Disney...but it ain't my money so I'll move on....... The second stop was Sea World!

Sea World reminded me a lot of the Aquarium in Atlanta. It is a ocean adventure. They have all types of sharks, sting rays, dolphins, whales etc. We had a great time at Sea World. We went in July which is the rainiest time for Orlando so they weren't able to do the dolphin or Shamu show due to lightening but we still had a great time and were able to experience the sea otters show.

Brown Girls 2 oldest brothers weren't able to come (they are grown 20 & 23) maybe next time!

Is Brown Girl Mixed? This picture should answer that question! LOL!!

Brown Girl is scared to death of Jelly Fish but she's always eager to see them!

Next Stop.....Magic Kingdom

In my opinion, you need at least 2 days in each park to really experience them fully with the exception of Sea World. Sea World can be covered in one full day. I hope you enjoyed looking at our pictures.

A video of how I cared for her hair while on vacation is coming soon!
