Pictures from the World Natural Hair Show

We attended the World Natural Hair Show in Atlanta, Ga. on this past Sunday that I posted about a few weeks ago here! I wanted to share a few of our pictures from the show!!

We were able to meet a lot of cool people including Wendi and Kim of Mixed Chicks hair product line!!

Overall, we had a good time in spite of the stormy weather that we had. I hate that we missed seeing Curly Nikki, but I'm sure we'll meet her soon!

The GirlsLoveYourCurls Super Stretch Method

I vow to one day be able to throw my blow dryer away and solely use this method. **now bowing my head to pray** I am going to need help!! She shows you how to stretch the hair by using the african threading method. It's a great alternative to getting the hair straight without using a blow dryer or any heat at all.

Although, I don't press or flat iron my daughters hair, I do blow dry it from time to time.  Thanks so much to GirlLoveYourCurls on youtube for sharing this!! Check out her channel and subscribe to it! She's great!!

DIY Accessories from Hair Beads

The 36th Avenue.com

Ever wondered what you could do with all of those hair beads when your daughter(s) out grow them?

While browsing around Pinterest, I found the coolest blog that had an awesome tutorial on melted hair beads! Yes, melted hair beads that we put on the ends of our braids and cornrows!!

Desiree' shows you how to make all kind of stuff  hair clips, paper clips, bookmarks, jewelry, and even magnets all in less then 15 minuets!!

The original post is on The36thAvenue.com site. Go there to see the tutorial. The picture also belongs to the site. I can't wait to try this when my daughter out grows her beads, which I'm sure won't be long from now!!
