It's My 8th Birthday Hairstyle
Brown Girls Hair |
Today is Brown Girls 8th birthday!! Over the weekend, we had a birthday party for her and I wanted to share pictures of the hairstyle that she rocked!
Her party theme was Hello Kitty. The activities included a Hello Kitty bouncer, a Hello Kitty Pinata, and dancing to KIDZ BOP 21 BY KIDZ BOP (CD) (Google Affiliate Ad)! I purchased her cake from Sams Club. The kids had so much fun and so did the adults!

Easy Natural Cornrow Hairstyle for Girls
Brown Girls Hair |
This hairstyle is very easy to do. Just make 3 sections and start braiding the two front sections straight back and stop braiding at the mid part line. Then continue plaiting the hair to the end. Do that for both front sections.
Then create a pony tail for the back section and include the two front plaits in the ponytail. Then 3 strand plait the back ponytail and wrap it around like a bantu knot. That's it!
I made the 4 small cornrows around her edges because they keep the edges neat longer to help make the hairstyle last for a couple of days. It also prevents her from playing with her edges (a bad habit that she has).
If you want to do the 4 cornrows around the edges, do them first, then do everything else.

Feature: Girly Do Hairstyles
The Bee Hive
I thought about trying it, but it's a bit too complicated for me or should I say more work than I want to do right now, but I absolutely love it. When I'm in the mood to sit down for an hour or two to try it, I certainly will. But for now, I'd like to share her tutorial with you.
She was kind enough to go through how to do it, step by step on her blog here. Please check out all of the other fantastic hairstyles that she has on her blog! I love her hairstyles. They give me so many ideas for other cute spin-off hairstyles!
Thanks Jen for allowing me to share this! Happy Styling!

Smooth N Shine Mousse Review
Yesterday, a lady stopped me and asked me what did I use on my hair to make it so shiny? I thought to myself, is my hair shinning? LOL Then, I told her that I use water and mousse. She was rushing to catch the bus so I didn't have time to elaborate. Today, I thought maybe that's something that I should share with my blog readers.
I know I mostly post what's going on with my daughter's hair, but today, I thought I would share with you what I've been doing to my hair all summer! This post won't take long at all because I've been rocking a boring ponytail all summer long that looks like this:
I've been waking up every morning using my spray bottle (filled with warm water), shine mousse, and my brush. This is the style that I've been embracing all summer. My hubby told me he's tried of looking at this ponytail so I'll be making a change really soon!
I really like the mousse because it holds my curly hair down without making it hard and it does give it a nice shine too. Here are a few shots of how it looks hanging.
Shine moose gets 2 thumbs up from me! It is very reasonably priced. I paid under 2 bucks for mine. If you are interested in trying it or want more information on it, just go here. I purchased mine at a local CVS store, but I've seen it in Target too.

Hair Carnival Nautral Girls Multi Platinum Ponytails
Hi Girlies!!
I committed to be apart of the Copy Cat Hair Carnival that took place last week. I hold my head down in shame because I am a week late posting this due to issues that aren't necessary to mention. The point is, it's late, but I will raise my head to say that I am a woman of my word. So although it is late, I am still posting as promised.
I copied this style from the talented mom of Goldilocks*n*Me! I didn't just use one particular style. I combined several ideas from some of her wonderful styles posted in her facebook style gallery! She has some of the most creative styles that I have seen and I absolutely enjoyed copying her!

Bathroom Renovation
Bathroom Inspiration Picture |
I just remodeled my daughters bathroom and I am so excited about how it turned out!
Let me first give you a brief history of the bathroom. It has been my boys bathroom for the past 9 years. We finally finished the bathroom upstairs, so we have relocated them to use that one especially since their sister is getting older and is ready for her own bathroom space!
I originally painted it a yellowish color because I was going to make it a backyardagain theme about 4 years ago...well, it didn't quite work out the way that I wanted it to so I ended up finding some black and yellow stuff at Walmart to put in there...I must say, it was so ugly. I can't even believe I left it in there for that long, but I wasn't using it and my boys didn't care so what the heck? Why worry myself about it?...I just left it alone until now.
We are about to send the second oldest to college this fall so it's about time for me to take my house back. I am going through it room by room to make it like I've always wanted it without having to worry about them breaking everything!
Those with small boys close in age can relate to this I'm sure! I have 3 boys and they are all 3 years apart. Thank God they are teens now...well the oldest will be 21 in Aug. so he's no longer a teen, but you get my drift!....I know what you are thinking.....wow you look great!! Thanks! LOL!! Anyway, I'll save that story for another post!
Back to the bathroom, I hope you enjoy the pictures and the easy transformation that I made all for about $200.
