Today is the 1st of October and I've decided to kick off the month with a few hair goals for the month! I washed Brown Girls Hair on last Saturday, September 28, 2013 with As I Am products. Review coming soon!
My #1 goal for her hair this month is NO manipulation (combing). I am going to achieve this by getting her hair braided on this Friday, October 4, 2013. I'm going to have a very close family friend to put her hair in box braids for me. So get ready for a video series on different ways to style box braids!
My #2 goal for her hair is to focus on keeping her braids moisturized. I plan to use African Pride's braid spray. It will be my first time using this product so I do plan to do a review of it when her box braid journey is complete.

Do you set monthly hair goals? What goals have you set for October? Don't be shy. Please share.
I love this idea! I generally keep my daughter in protective styles, but this month, I'd like to tuck her ends away and protect them a bit more. I just took medium-sized box braids out of her hair - we can't really go past 2 weeks of washing, because she plays soccer and sweats ALL IN her head. She wore the box braids down, in high and low pony's, and a back pony the first week. She got rained on at her Saturday game, so we restyled the front with angled cornrows and put her hair in two pony's. I love how a small restyle can freshen up a hairstyle. As for me, I guess it's time to put my beloved WnG away (tear). Braid outs or twist outs for the month of October.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the style series!
Nicole it sounds like you had a ball with your daughters box braids. I'm hoping my daughter can keep them in at least until the beginning of Nov....we'll see. I'm almost sure when we take them out, I'm going to get her braided right back up.LOL I'm tired of combing hair! I need a break and so does her hair!
DeleteWhat an a amazing idea, I love how you have a hair plan and schedule for your daughter. My goal for my daughters hair is not to comb there hair as much!
